Houseplant Supplies runs a houseplant care website and a Shopify-powered plant storefront. This page explains the information we handle and why, in plain language.

What we collect

• Order and contact details - Shopify and its payment providers process checkout. We may receive your name, email, order details, and support history so we can respond to a purchase question. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Essential site data - the shop may use a secure cart cookie so it can keep the items you add while you browse.
• Site analytics - we use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site. It may collect page views, session activity, traffic sources, approximate location, and browser or device information. We use these reports to improve the shop and plant-care guides.
• Messages you send us - we keep what you write through the contact form so we can reply and prevent abuse.

How we use information

• Answer support questions about the site or an order.
• Keep the shop, care guides, and forms reliable and secure.
• Meet legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or record-keeping duties that apply to us.

We do not sell personal information.

Who else may process data

Providers that help us operate the site may process information to provide their service, including Cloudflare for hosting and security, Resend for contact-message delivery, Shopify and its payment providers for checkout, and Google Analytics for site measurement. Cookies and similar technology

We use essential cookies or local storage needed for basic site and cart function. Google Analytics may set a first-party cookie named _ga to distinguish visits and sessions. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though essential shop functions may not work properly when all storage is disabled.

What we do not send to analytics

We do not intentionally send your name, email address, full payment-card details, order-support messages, or contact-form message contents to Google Analytics. Checkout payment information is handled by Shopify and its payment providers, not by our analytics tag.

How long we keep data

We keep contact and order-related records only as long as reasonably needed to answer support, meet legal or tax duties, and prevent abuse. You can ask us to correct or delete personal data we control, subject to those limits.

We may update this policy when our practices or tools change. The date at the top will be updated when that happens.
